Guide on how to Protect self, family & others by the excellent communicator Dr. John Campbell
Dr. John Campbell Check out his Medical Training Playlists on his amazing YouTube Channel , I'd first came across John's lectures years ago when studding micro capillaries in relation to metastatic pathways & Circulating Tumour Cells, With SarsCov 2, John's excellent Informative Updates on Covid19 have made him internationally famous, he's one of those I'd certainly recommend for an award, In our own frantic struggle to adapt existing plans & medical testing (Rapid Explore) to assist in the Covid19 battle including adapting our concept filtering systems which could help protect brave front line medical staff, i can say with certainty this crisis has already exposed the best & worst of humanity. This was a time to transfer contests, cut red tape, bureaucracy & work together without deadly delays & bickering!
Basic information about the novel Coronarvirus
((Earlier 26 January)) post by Dr. John Campbell
Johns an excellent communicator, check out his series of rolling analytical updates on #COVID19, these might help people understand the factors & challenges in timing shutdowns., etc.
With 'high points of contact (like supermarkets)
It's sensible to use wipes & gloves, and avoid peak times. #PullDownThePeak
Exploring & evaluating potential easy practical solutions to help minimise Covid19 spread until the essential vaccines & treatments are actually available.
Reducing Infections - We know simple Soap or Alcohol are Lethal Weapon's against the virus membrane cleaning contact surfaces and skin.
Soap is a is solution at hand! Commonly available Washing up liquid & water can be held in Commonly available sponges & Sponge wipe cloths.
Sponge in container loaded with Soap
A quick way to wipe hands, might be a good idea to have one of these on every shop counter and on every sitting room table
Flat Sponge cloths hold soapy water solution well.
Also handy to carry in a bag in the car.
Flat A4 clear cough bag sprayed with Soap/water solution , it takes a few coughs to inflate bag, reducing blow back pressure.
I'd like help to evaluate if this has utility in crowed Covid-19 facilities with symptomatic patients.
Ideas for Pocket containers to always have wipes at hand.
If baby wipes are dried out it makes it easier to re-hydrate these with soapy water
The weaknesses in #Covid19 #DeMystifyCovid19
Limit community spread & the crippling peak on health care services!
If you know a care worker or someone working in a shop. perhaps you could make them a cup holster for a sponge cloth.

The Science of soap & Corona Viruses lipid (fatty) bi-layer
Why does soap work so well on SARS-CoV-2? Get to know it's weakness, that lipid (fatty) bi-layer
The simple chemistry that's deadly to coronavirus. Simple soapy water quickly degrades the outer membrane destroying the ability of the virus to enter cells.
While it's "Very Sensible" not to have someone breathing in your face and avoiding crowded indoor spaces. If #COVID19 was as airborne as Measles. everyone working at shop tills may have already been infected, That's not the case!
However the particles are sticky to contact surfaces & can remain viable on some surfaces for days.
The outer membrane of the virus is a thin fatty composition known as a lipid bi-layer membrane. (See Image)
How thin? To give you an idea, the diameter of a single 100 nm virus particle (A Virion) is 1000 times smaller than a sheet of 100 micron paper! it's lipid bi-layer membrane is obviously thinner.
#COVID19ThoughtTips
1/ How Effective is Soap?
Think of how easy the de-greasing action of Soap works in very thin layers! #TinySickyButterBubbles
2/ Social Distancing makes sense until a vaccine is developed.
But the risk of being infected would be low with sensible distancing "IF" everyone can lose the confusion & be clear on how #Covid19 gets from person A to Person B.
2a/ Droplets -Think on two Water Balloons, one filled with air, the other with water, the one with air would be difficult to throw any distance!
2b/ Think on kids blowing bubbles into air currents, think on how they can go to ground, or disperse & degrade.
Everyone should have sponges to hold soapy water at hand.
Some simple ideas to have washing up liquid & water at hand for high contact points, care workers. I've left containers & Sponges in my local shops, See images from local shop which kindly helped demonstrate these.
Remember, lose the confusion, there's no danger whatsoever of the Sponges & soapy water becoming contaminated as once exposed to soap the extremely thin(fatty) lipid bi-layer is destroyed.

Requests for assistance from politicians were frustrating, even resulting in heated exchanges with some. I’d doubt they even understood enough to realize the value in the proposals. And as passionate outsiders, despite our decade of efforts, even the rogue GP anti-Vaxxers would have had more influence. In fact I'd later learn at least one of the politicians I’d been seeking help from was himself an anti-Vaxxer.
While putting efforts into designing a low cost easy to assemble fluid particle pandemic filter for ventilators etc. (See L1, L2, L3 ) (At a time of supply shortages) other frustrations including a collision with a Police Sgt who’d made a mistake, when confronted as opposed to pausing to listen and concede the errors. He behaved as an arrogant authoritarian goon, shouting, spraying droplets in my face. Frustrating as at the time I’d also been trying to highlight carrier droplets and fluid smears significantly increase the probability of infection transmission. And that clear messaging was needed on high risk vs low risk transmission scenarios. With ignorance and arrogance like that the odds were stacked against worthy causes in this too.
