How might we begin to attempt to slow Sea Level Rise?

This is outside my normal areas of study, but I'm going to be brave & share several of the initial thoughts on this,

"action could benefit from a new systems for teamwork and the spread of stable democracies"

Might it actually be possible to attempt stabilise Glaciers and Ice Shelf's?

Could partially draining Subglacial Lakes to separate the thermally conductive water (contact interface) from the base of the ice limit disintegration or flow in Antarctica & Greenland Glaciers?

Would horizontal tunnelling actually be a viable option to tap into the hundreds of sub-Glacial lakes to install drain channels with insulated pipes to slowly "partially" drain subglacial lakes? If the lager lakes are produced by geothermal hot spots, adding valved vertical vents could help release trapped heat?

We already have snow machines in ski resorts. - Could that technology be scaled up "spraying the drained water back on top of the glaciers again as snow " using snow to :

a/ Fill fractures & surface pools with show/slush to form new Ice

b/ form strategically placed wind channels/valleys to cool critical fracture points?

How much might it help reduce/stabilise Glacier disintegration or flow, slowing the impact of Sea Level Rises?

Building ice models of glaciers with subglacial lakes & channels would be essential to test & refine these concepts.

The FVS site we'd like as a home for our main project even has an old disused swimming pool which may be ideal to build a model in!
